About us

We operate from Martin Primary School, Boksburg North.  We currently only teach children attending the school during Summer.  Lessons are offered twice a week on a Tuesday & Thursday. Change rooms and bathroom facilities are available.

 

We cater for children from 3 years who would like to learn this life skill.  We also do Stroke Correction and Coaching. 

 

Classes are small for a quality learning experience. 

 

We focus on aquatic fundamentals with the emphasis on FUN! Learning through play is essential in our classes.  The children should be laughing and enjoying the class. 

 

A child will never be forced to do something he/she isn't comfortable with, i.e. eyes in the water, wetting the face, swimming unassisted. We encourage, not force.  We understand that each child is different and develops at their own pace.

The core aquatic skills are the basic skills a swimmer requires to be comfortable in water and this includes:

• Aquatic Breathing

• Streamlining

• Balance & Buoyancy

• Rotation & Orientation

• Sculling and Treading water

• Entries, exits and introduction to diving

We also assist Martin School with PhysEd during Term 1 and 4 with regards to swimming at the school.
